
Applications
1. Applications to participate in the Truck Rodeo must be
received on or before April 1st
2008.
2. Applications not completed will not be accepted.
3. All Truck Rodeo participants selected to compete must
arrive at the Interstate Center
between 7:00pm and 9:00pm
on May 9th. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. Trucks will be staged for competition between 7:00pm and
9:00pm May 9th.
5. Trucks will not be allowed to move once staged until the
competition begins May 10th.
6. Any Truck moved after being staged and before competition
begins will be disqualified.
7. Drivers will be allowed to remain with the trucks.
Truck Requirements
1. Maximum of 74 feet and minimum of 62 feet combined
truck and trailer length.
2. Clean and ready to be viewed by the public.
Competition
Vehicle Inspection
1. Inspection performed by Illinois District 6 Police CVEO's
(Commercial Vehicle
Enforcement Officer).
2. Any truck having an “Out of Service” violation found during
the vehicle inspection
portion of the competition, will be
disqualified and not allowed to continue.
3. A Maximum of 25 points will be awarded for the Vehicle
Inspection.
4. A 2 point deduction for each safety violation noted by the
CVEO.
5. A 1 point deduction for all other violations noted by the
CVEO
Driving Skills Evaluation
1. Performed by the trainers of Heartland Community College.
2. A total of 15 points will be awarded for the Drivers Skills
Evaluation.
Most Popular – Public Viewing & Voting
1. After the Driving Skills Evaluation, trucks will return to the
staging area to be
viewed by the public.
2. The public will be allowed to vote for their favorite.
3. 10 Points will be awarded to the most popular truck.
